Pilates Training

Harris Pilates offers premium pilates-focused personal training in a private studio. Classes are fifty-minute sessions customized to help the client meet his/her fitness goal.

Unlike most traditional Pilates this is an athletic style Pilates session focused on gaining strength. Unlike traditional group Pilates studios, I work one-on-one and the session is customized for your needs and goals.

I only see up to two individuals in one class. In addition to the 50-minute in-studio session, clients receive motivation, accountability, and additional support to help them reach their fitness goals.

Meet Amanda Harris: Founder of Harris Pilates

I’m Amanda Harris, and I’m so glad you’re here. My journey started long before any certifications—back in college, when I practically lived at the gym. I helped wherever I was needed and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life… I just knew the gym felt like home.

Somewhere in there, I also DJ’d for college radio and graduated from LSU with a degree in Journalism (which might explain my obsession with storytelling, music, and rhythm). My background in the dance and theater world means that movement and flow are just part of who I am.

Now, I blend it all—dynamic strength, rhythmic flow, and intentional programming—into every Athletic Reformer Pilates class we teach.

As the flagship Athletic Reformer Pilates studio in Mid-City, NOLA, Harris Pilates blends traditional Pilates principles with progressive strength training.

I created this method to offer a customized, intentional, and results-focused approach to movement. We don't just go through the motions; we move with purpose to help you build functional strength, find balance, and feel stronger in your everyday life.

Please wear comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely. We recommend grip socks to ensure safety and stability on the equipment, but they are not required. All you need to bring is yourself and a water bottle—we provide all the necessary equipment.
